In Khmelnytskyi Oblast, the police exposed a corrupt “scheme” of passing a medical commission to obtain a disability group
The chairman of one of the medical and social expert commissions is involved in its organization. To cover up illegal activities, the latter attracted an intermediary.
Today, October 26, operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Khmelnytsky region of the National Police and investigators of the Investigative Department of the Regional Police exposed both defendants immediately after the distribution of the received funds. The Chairman of the ISEC, through an intermediary, received USD 1100 in improper benefits for the preparation of the necessary documents and the unhindered passage of the commission to obtain the disability group.
According to the results of searches in the office of the organizer of the “scheme”, law enforcement officers seized 5,000 US dollars and 10,000 hryvnias, which were supported by the medical history of persons who expressed a desire to receive a disability group and should pass the appropriate commission.
Investigative actions continue. The chairman of the medical and social expert commission and the mediator were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notifying them of suspicion under Part 3 of Art is resolved. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the choice of preventive measures.
For the acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official, the current legislation provides for liability - imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property. Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Khmelnytsky Regional Prosecutor's Office.
