In Khmelnytskyi region, police officers exposed a group of persons in the manufacture of forged documents with holograms
In a printing house in which the intruders produced false documents, the police seized diplomas, various certificates, wet seals of various institutions, including those of other states, as well as certificates of vaccination against COVID-19 and negative PCR test results.
Employees of the Department for the Protection of Public and State Interests, the Department of International Police Cooperation of the National Police of Ukraine, together with the investigators of the Desnyansky District Department of the Capital Police, have exposed a 31-year-old man who organized criminal activities for the production and sale of forged documents. He added two accomplices to the “work”.
During the pre-trial investigation, the police established that the attackers had set up a printing house for the production of fakes in the city of Kamianets-Podilsky, in the Khmelnytskyi region. The participants printed diplomas of higher and secondary special education of various educational institutions in the fields of journalism, medicine, education, etc.
In addition, COVID-19 vaccination certificates and certificates of negative PCR test results were produced secretly. The sale of fake documents and wet seals was carried out by the attackers through an online ad platform and on social networks.
On July 27, the police conducted authorized searches at the place of residence of the defendants and in the production premises. As a result, money, journalistic certificates, as well as diplomas in the specialty - journalist were seized. In addition, wet seals of various ministries, medical institutions, private laboratories, certificates of vaccination against COVID-19 and certificates of negative PCR tests were found.
At the same time, law enforcement officers seized “draft records”, computer equipment that contained software for producing documents with samples of diplomas.
Police investigators are investigating criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 199 (Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, importation into Ukraine for use in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the moment, the organizer has been detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and the issue of declaring him a suspect is resolved. Law enforcement officers conduct further procedural measures aimed at documenting the criminal activities of all defendants. Procedural management is carried out by the prosecutor's office of the Desnyansky district of the city of Kiev.
