The route bus driver called the 102" line and reported that there were 26 passengers on the bus, among whom there was an aggressive passenger. According to the driver, this passenger makes verbal threats to detonate the grenade, although he does not have any suspicious object in his hands. The management and the investigative and operational team of the Beryslav district police department immediately arrived on the scene. During a superficial check and inspection of the man's belongings, the police did not find any suspicious objects.

The offender was a 51-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region, who was sent home from rest. The reason for his act was explained by the passenger, who had obvious signs of alcohol intoxication, by the fact that he wanted to smoke, and the driver refused to stop.

According to the head of the Beryslav district police department Alexey Peshkov, administrative materials were prepared in relation to the passenger under Article 173 “Petty hooliganism” and Article 178 “Drinking beer, alcoholic, low-alcohol drinks in places prohibited by law or appearance in public places in a drunken form” KupAp.
