In Kharkiv region, law enforcement officers blocked a criminal scheme of illegal enrichment on counterfeit fuel from Russia
Dealers supplied liquefied gas to Ukraine from the Russian Federation for domestic needs of the population, illegally processed it into automobile gas and sold it through a network of gas stations without paying the appropriate excise payments
Operations and search units of the Eastern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in cooperation with the Investigative Department of Financial Investigations of the Main Department of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast exposed a criminal scheme of illegal production and sale of automobile gas.
At present, it has been established that dealers supplied liquefied gas to Ukraine from the Russian Federation for domestic needs of the population, which was later illegally processed at an underground gas processing plant into automobile gas and sold through a network of gas stations without paying the appropriate excise payments.
In the framework of the investigation of criminal proceedings brought to the ERDR under Part 1 of Art. 204 and Part 3 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, operational officers conducted 13 court-sanctioned searches in places of illegal production, storage and sale of liquefied gas in Kharkiv city and Kharkiv region.
As a result of the searches, more than 3.3 million liters of finished counterfeit fuel, gas mixtures and components worth about 58 million hryvnias were discovered and seized, as well as invoices, seals, draft records, computer equipment and other material evidence of a criminal offense.
