In Volyn, police detained a man on suspicion of organizing a robbery attack on spouses of entrepreneurs
The crime was committed in November last year. Currently, the organizer of the robbery has chosen a preventive measure - detention without the right to make bail. He faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years with confiscation of property. This was reported by the police chief of Volyn Yuri Kroshko.
According to him, a message from entrepreneurs of Vladimir-Volyn district about committing a robbery attack against them came to the police in November last year.
“The applicant said that unknown persons broke into the house, committed physical violence against him, tied his hands, scalded him with a hot iron and threatened to harm his wife if he did not say where the money was. Thus, the attackers seized a significant amount of funds and fled in an unknown direction,” said Yuri Alexandrovich.
Information on this fact was registered in the ERDR under Part 4 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Thanks to the operational and investigative measures taken, it was possible to establish the identity of all the perpetrators and the organizer of the robbery. The last was a 38-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi Oblast, accomplices were 20-year-old and 37-year-old residents of the same region.
The attackers were declared suspected of committing robbery and declared them wanted.
October 15 in the city. Kamianets-Podilskyi Volyn operatives detained the organizer of the robbery attack. When detained in the latter, a pistol of the brand PM and seven 9 mm combat rounds to it were discovered and seized. Now he has been given a precautionary measure — detention without the right to make bail.
“Measures are being taken to detain two more suspects in the robbery,” Yuriy Kroshko said.
