In Vinnytsia region, the police announced a suspicion of an official of a distillery, who caused damage to the state in the amount of more than 800 thousand UAH.
On July 22, investigators of the regional police chief announced suspicion of official negligence, which led to the theft of alcohol, to the head of the finished products warehouse of one of the region's distilleries.
Operational support of the investigation is carried out by the Department of Strategic Investigations in Vinnytsia Oblast under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Region.
According to the deputy head of the GUNP in the Vinnytsia region Alexander Soldatov, the investigation established that, being in the position of the head of the warehouse, the official had to ensure the safety and prevention of alcohol loss during shipment and other work. However, the latter did not carry out proper checks, measurements of alcohol, as a result of which unidentified persons carried out illegal shipment of 2654 decaliters of ethyl alcohol. The lack of alcohol was detected during the inventory of finished product residues in February 2019, which was further confirmed by forensic and economic expertise.
Due to improper performance of his official duties, the attacker caused damage to the state in the amount of 806 thousand hryvnias.
The offender is declared suspected of committing a crime provided for in Part 2 of Art. 367 (official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, for which imprisonment for up to 5 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years is provided.
