Anti-terrorist training took place in Ternopil region
Anti-terrorist training was conducted in Ternopil region under the guidance of the SBU anti-terrorist center. In conditions close to real ones, joint actions of law enforcement agencies aimed at locating terrorists were worked out. A conditional countersabotage operation took place at one of the sites of possible terrorist attacks.
In addition to the SBU ATC, special officers of the KORD unit, police officers, the State Emergency Service and servicemen of the 2nd Battalion 2 of the Galician Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine were involved in the exercises. According to the legend of the training, a conditional “sabotage” group arrived on the territory of the region to conduct a series of events. explosions and explosions at several urban critical infrastructure sites.
Counter-terrorism units worked out a complex of joint actions aimed at identifying and locating “attackers”. After that, the fighters of the special forces conducted a training assault operation to neutralize the “saboteurs”.
An additional check of the security of critical infrastructure facilities, including the energy and transport systems of the region, was also carried out.
The main goal of such activities is to increase the level of interaction between law enforcement agencies in the face of terrorist threats.
As a result of the exercises, representatives of the Anti-Terrorist Center at the SBU conducted a thorough analysis of each of the stages of the training special operation and provided training participants with practical recommendations on improving the effectiveness of the countersabotage fight.
