In Sumy region for causing millions of losses to the state, the ex-director of the municipal enterprise will appear before the court
Employees of the sector for the protection of public interests and the state of the criminal police together with the investigators of the police department No. 1 (m. Krolevets) The Konotop District Police Department, under the procedural direction of the Konotop District Prosecutor's Office, sent to the court an indictment against the former director of one of the municipal enterprises of the Krolevets City Council, whose abuse of official position caused damage to the state in the amount of 4.1 million UAH
During the investigation, it was established that despite the lack of a permit for the use of subsoil and special water use, the enterprise headed at that time by the accused person carried out the collection of groundwater for about a year. As a result of the unauthorized use of water resources, 4.1 million UAH of losses were caused to the state.
On this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 364 “Abuse of power or official position” and part 2 of Art. 240 “Violation of the rules of protection or use of subsoil, illegal extraction of minerals” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
