In Rivne region, law enforcement officers oppose illegal mining of amber
Within the controlled border areas of the Rivne region, joint interdepartmental groups conducted activities aimed at identifying and documenting offenses related to the illegal extraction of raw amber.
Special events were held for several days within the Sarnensky and Varas districts by groups consisting of soldiers of border units, operatives of the State Border Guard Service and employees of the National Police.
During joint raids, law enforcement officers recorded places with obvious signs of soil erosion, where they tried to extract minerals illegally, and found one homemade motor pump. Work is currently underway to identify persons involved in illegal actions.
At the same time, with the implementation of measures to prevent offenses in the field of subsoil use, law enforcement officers carried out preventive work with the population in order to comply with the legislation of Ukraine within the controlled border areas.
