The updated canine center, which has been operating for almost 50 years, will allow the police to properly train service dogs to combat crime. Now four-legged pets are provided with everything they need: equipment for training, a place for walking, comfortable enclosures, and most importantly - the care of police officers who have already managed to make friends with their wards.

“A number of crimes are discovered by dog handlers with their assistants behind the “hot tracks”. Dogs are involved in the search and pursuit of criminals, missing people, searching vehicles and other objects for the presence of drugs or explosives or weapons, they strengthen the protection of public order and for a long time you can list where a four-legged partner comes in handy for a policeman,” the deputy said head of the regional police Volodymyr Yatsyuk.

The head of the department of organization of dog activities of the National Police of Ukraine Svetlana Kolomiets added that this is another, reconstructed canine center, which is being opened with the help of the National Police of Ukraine.

“Not every region has such a territory and such a wonderful place. And in order to optimize your work and ensure that the dogs are transported comfortably, we want to hand over the keys to the new service car.”

During the grand opening, the Precarpathian police dog scientists received encouraging awards from the National Police of Ukraine and local authorities. After that, on the updated training grounds, dog breeders demonstrated the skills and capabilities of their service dogs, and helped them in this cordivka.

In addition, the events took place within the framework of the implementation of the Concept of development of canine services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
