In Ivano-Frankivsk region there was a group that produced and sold forged documents with holographic protective elements on order. Those interested could purchase a certificate of a combatant, a driver, a certificate of no criminal record and a diploma of higher education. At the moment, the organizer and two of his accomplices have already been notified of suspicion.

In the field of vision of the operatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk Department of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police, a criminal group that established a scheme for the production and sale of forged documents, in particular with the image of holographic protective elements issued by the executive authorities, came into the field of vision.

The police found that the illegal business was organized by a 33-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman — residents of the region. Under the guise of an organization for the provision of information services, they accepted orders for the production of driver's licenses, combat participants, certificates of registration of vehicles, certificates of no criminal record, diplomas of higher education, certificates of balances in bank accounts, certificates of PCR tests, marks on crossing the state border, etc.

The previously convicted 66-year-old man was engaged in the direct production of false documents at his home and in the premises of the creative workshop. For clients, the conspirators created a website on which they placed advertisements for the provision of services for obtaining foreign visas.

Law enforcement officers made several operational purchases of various kinds of documents, the examination of which confirmed the fact of forgery.

The conspirators were detained for the next transaction. Employees of the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi Departments of the FIB of the NPU, the Investigative Department and the Department for Combating Cyber Crimes of the Precarpathian Police, with the physical support of the special police, conducted 10 sanctioned searches.

During the activities, forged stamps and seals of executive authorities, strict reporting forms, documents with signs of forgery, accessories for the manufacture of forged documents, mobile phones, computer equipment, “rough” records, firearms, as well as cash in various currencies were discovered and confiscated. for a total of almost 2 million hryvnias.

Currently, under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office, three defendants have been presented with suspicions under Part 2 of Article 199 (Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, importation into Ukraine for the purpose of using in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements) and Part 3 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A petition for the election of a preventive measure has been submitted to the court.

Criminals can spend up to ten years behind bars.
