In Poltava region, two people were taken into custody who tried to commit raider seizure of the enterprise
Investigators of the Poltava region police, under the procedural guidance of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office, reported on suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in part 3 of Article 206-2 (Illegal possession of property of an enterprise) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to two persons who tried to illegally seize agricultural enterprise STV “Progress” in Hrebinkivshchyna, Poltava region. Currently, the men have been taken into custody by the court with a determination of the amount of bail.
Two former directors of this enterprise, born in 1979 and 1980, who, using fictitious documents, tried to seize the enterprise by force, involving several dozen young men in masks, are reasonably suspected of committing this crime. Recall that the police did not allow the raider seizure, and the offenders were detained.
Artem Rodygin, interim acting chief of police of Poltava region, noted:
“Police investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office on April 3, these persons were notified of suspicion of committing criminal offenses stipulated in Part 5 of Art. 191 (Appropriation, squandering of property or possession of it by abuse of official position), Part 1 of Art. 366 (Service Forgery) and Part 3 of Art. 206-2 (Illegal possession of property of the enterprise) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The defendants of the Oktyabrsky District Court Poltava selected preventive measures - detention with determination of the amount of bail, respectively 3 000 940 UAH and 15 990 960 UAH. At the moment, these persons are in detention conditions.”
According to Artem Rodigin, the investigation has information about further attempts of persons involved in the crime to seize the property of the enterprise, which will also receive a proper legal assessment. During the pre-trial investigation, the circumstances of the crime and other persons who may be involved in the commission of the raiding seizure are established, using fictitious documents and the force support of one of the security firms. Investigative actions continue. If proven guilty by
the court, the suspect faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
