In Poltava region, the police completed a pre-trial investigation into the fact of “dumping” funds into the so-called “commons” and spreading criminal influence
Investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Poltava region sent to the court an indictment against a dependent who spread his criminal influence while staying in the State Institution “Poltava Institution of Execution of Punishments No. 23" and his accomplice.
Recall that we are talking about a 34-year-old survivor of the SIZO, who has the status of a so-called “spectator”. The latter is a defendant in the case of commission of murder by order and extortion of funds. Using his own authority in the criminal environment, the man organized the extortion of funds from other convicts to replenish the so-called “community”.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Poltava region of the National Police, together with the investigators of the GUNP in the Poltava region, established that the attacker provided instructions to his accomplices — other dependents of the institution, coordinated their actions and incited to continue violating the law.
Victims of extortion were mostly newly arrived detainees of SIZO. In case of refusal to pay funds, psychological pressure or physical violence was applied to them.
It is known that among the accomplices of the so-called “spotter” was a 30-year-old “authority”, who is also held in the institution. He followed the guidelines for the observance of thieving traditions and continued to spread them.
On the basis of the evidence received during the pre-trial investigation, the so-called “spotter” at the detention center and the “authoritative” investigators of the regional police department under the procedural leadership of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office reported suspicions: The
actions of the “spotter” are qualified for hours. 2 Art. 255-1 (establishment or dissemination of criminal influence) and part 2 of Art. 189 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and its accomplice - according to Part 2 of Art. 189 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In case of proof of guilt, persons involved in the commission of particularly serious crimes are threatened with imprisonment for up to fifteen years.
