In Poltava region, the police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of beating a journalist and self-righteousness
During the day, a number of appeals were received to the police of the city of Kremenchuk about the fact of committing illegal actions on the territory of the Central District Hospital. Also, line 102 received an appeal from a local journalist regarding the commission of violence against him in connection with the exercise of journalistic legal professional activity at the scene.
According to the stated facts, the pre-trial investigation bodies of the Kremenchuk District Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Kremenchug District Prosecutor's Office, initiated a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings with the legal qualification provided for in Art. 356 (Self-righteousness) and part 2 of Art. 345-1 (Threat or violence against a journalist) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing the circumstances of the commission of criminal offenses.
