A 13-year-old resident of the village of Hradizhsk, Kremenchuk district, lived for several weeks in a poorly heated house, without adult care and the necessary living conditions. His life circumstances prompted the community police officers, the administration of the educational institution and the children's affairs service to take care of his safety and health.

Police officers of the Hradizhsky community Igor Koval and Serhiy Stupak received an alarm signal from the local school administration that the student does not appear in the lessons for several days without a good reason.

The officer together with the head of the children's affairs service of the executive committee of the Gradyzhsky settlement council immediately responded to the appeal. The commission found a 13-year-old schoolboy near his home. As it turned out, he has been living in seclusion for several weeks, without parental care.

Igor Koval said: “The guy explained that his mother works abroad, and he lives with his 21-year-old brother. However, he has not seen his older brother for more than two weeks — since he left for Kyiv.”

In addition to the absence of adults who are obliged to take care of the child, representatives of the authorized bodies identified other significant problems. Among these: unsatisfactory air temperature in the rooms of the house, faulty water supply and drainage, lack of proper conditions for the child's education and rest.

The guy was examined by doctors: there are no threats to his health. Until appropriate legal decisions are made by the Children's Services, the child will be under the care of one of the local families.
