Competitions of dog trainers of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service were held in Odessa region
Competitions among dog trainers of the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine
took place on the basis of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Border Detachment. The events were attended by 19 servicemen with their four-legged wards, who were recognized as the best in their units and achieved high results of service activity.
According to the competition program, they were joined by dog breeders with search and special dogs. Four-legged border guards demonstrated obedience skills, ability to detect weapons, explosives, drugs, pursue and detain violators, and overcame an obstacle course.
Competitors were evaluated not only by leading specialists of the border service canine service, but also by the judge of the Kennel Union of Ukraine and members of the competition commission from the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police and the Odessa Customs.
According to the results of the competition, the first place was won by the team of the Mogilev-Podolsk border detachment, the second place was won by the team of the Belgorod-Dnistrovsky detachment, and the third place was won by the dog breeders of the Kherson detachment.
Specialists who showed the best results will represent the Southern Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine in competitions for the championship of the border agency.
