Another police station has started working in the Mykolaiv region
On June 25, a police station was opened in Berezanka, which serves 35 settlements with a number of more than 10 thousand citizens.
Its solemn opening was attended by the Head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Nikolaev area, Colonel of Police Sergey Shaykhet, his deputy - Major of Police Alexey Lyashenko, Head of the Nikolaev District Police Department Colonel Oleg Hudyma, Head of Police Department No. 8 police officer Alexey Karpov, representatives of local authorities and community activist. Local residents also came to the opening of the station.
According to the head of the Berezan territorial community, Valeriy Khomitsky, the well-being of people, in particular, depends on the state of law and order, therefore, together with the leadership of the district and regional police, today a police station was opened on the territory of the community with the possibility of daily stay of a police officer there. It will respond more quickly to offenses and appeals of residents of Berezanka and nearby villages, and citizens will receive qualified assistance or advice.
The heads of the police of the region got acquainted with the conditions in which the district police officer will serve: the station is equipped with furniture, modern computer equipment, access to the Internet, as well as comfortable conditions for communication of citizens with police officers.
- The opening of a police station is certainly of great importance to local residents. From today, I am waiting for everyone who needs my help, here, at the location of the station, so that residents in our community know that they can contact me 24/7 on any issue, - said the district police officer Viktor Mykhailenko.
The head of the police of the region Serhiy Shaykhet thanked all those involved in the implementation of the project for their cooperation.
This is already the 15th station that has worked in the Nikolaev area. I am convinced that its opening is another crucial step towards changing the system of relations between the population and the police, because the police are getting closer to people who will now be able to receive timely and high-quality police assistance and services on the spot. I am grateful for the support of the representatives of the village council, so we do not stop, but continue to move further, in order to ensure the safety of citizens, - Serhiy Shayhet noted.
