In Mykolaiv region, police seized drugs worth almost eight million hryvnias from a local resident
On July 21, law enforcement officers conducted authorized searches of a 37-year-old resident of Novy Bug. The total weight of drugs is about 40 kg. The offender was taken to the police station, where investigators detained him in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
On July 21, the officers of the police department No. 1 of the Bashtansky district department together with the employees of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes in the Nikolaev area of the DBN NPU under the procedural guidance of the Bashtan District Prosecutor's Office conducted sanctioned searches of the 37-year-old resident of Novy Bug.
During searches on the territory of the man's household, law enforcement officers found cannabis plantations about 1.5 meters high, which were carefully processed and cared for, and in the house itself - 18 buckets filled with ready-to-use cannabis. The total weight of drugs is about 40 kg, the cost of which at the prices of the “black” market reaches about 8 million hryvnias.
All seized police will be sent for examination.
The attacker was taken to the police station, where investigators detained him under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 310 (Sowing or growing a dreamy poppy or hemp) and part 3 of Art. 309 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction provides for a sentence of up to eight years in prison.
In the near future, in agreement with the prosecutor's office, the man will be notified of the suspicion and a preventive measure will be selected.
