In Lviv region, police detained intruders suspected of robbery attack on young girl
For the crime, two residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region face punishment - up to ten years in prison with confiscation of property.
On September 22, Operation Line 102 received a report of a robbery attack on a young girl in one of the villages of the Stryi district. Immediately went to the scene of the incident: response teams of the patrol police, the investigative and operational team, criminal police operatives and employees of other services of the Stryi District Police Department.
According to law enforcement officials, in the city of Bolekhiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region, a 20-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Dolynsky district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region stopped the Volkswagen Passat car, whose driver agreed to take her to the city of Stry, located in Lviv region, for a moderate fee, because He was going in the same direction. Around 15.45, already on the territory of Lviv region, in one of the villages of the Stryi district, a passenger of the Volkswagen, who was sitting in the front seat, unexpectedly pointed an object similar to a gun at the passenger and ordered to give him money and a mobile phone. Frightened for her life, the girl opened the door and on the way jumped out of the car, which turned around and went in the opposite direction. The passenger's suitcase was left in the Volkswagen. A random passer-by helped the victim of the attackers and reported the incident to the police.
By conducting operational and investigative measures, the police found the wanted “Pasat” on the highway “Stry-Ivano-Frankivsk-Chernivtsi” in the village of Stankiv. The attackers tried to escape from law enforcement, however, after being chased, their car was blocked and stopped by crews of patrol police response teams.
The driver and passenger of “Volkswagen”, both residents of one of the villages of Dolynsky district of Ivano-Frankivsk region aged 22 and 17 years, were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the court will soon choose preventive measures for them. The youngest of the attackers was previously prosecuted for illegal possession of a vehicle.
Also, law enforcement officers found an object similar to a gun, which the attackers managed to hide - the weapon was seized and sent for expert examination.
In fact, the investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural guidance of the Stryi District Prosecutor's Office, opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Collection of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment - imprisonment for a period of seven to ten years with confiscation of property.
