A man who organized a scheme for receiving money at the border was detained in Luhansk region
In Luhansk region, an intruder was detained for attempting to bribe a border guard, who organized the collection of fees from travelers near the Milove checkpoint.
The detainee organized a scheme to receive money from persons crossing the state border. In his scheme of earnings, the fraudster tried to involve the border guard of the Luhansk detachment, which the serviceman reported in accordance with the established procedure.
The briber was detained at a hot spot after transferring 6500 UAH of illegal benefits to the border guard. The detention was carried out by internal and own security operatives of the State Border Guard Service together with the investigator of the National Police with the force support of the fighters of “Dozor”.
The events were conducted under the procedural guidance of the Starobilsk District Prosecutor's Office within the framework of the pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The sanction of the article for the provision of unlawful benefits to an official provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of four to eight years.
