In Luhansk region, the police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of non-payment of wages to miners
May 5 to the police of the city. Popasna received a notice that a strike is being held at the “Gorskaya” SE Pervomayskvuhilya mine, during which 14 miners do not rise to the surface, demanding payment of wage arrears.
According to this fact, the investigators immediately opened criminal proceedings on the basis of Part 1 of Art. 175 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Non-payment of wages, scholarships, pensions or other payments established by law) to provide a legal assessment of the actions of the management of IP “Hirska” SE “Pervomayskvuhilya”.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings, investigators under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office carry out urgent investigative actions, in particular interviewing relatives and relatives of striking miners and mine managers.
