In Luhansk region, police detained a man on suspicion of raping a 6-year-old girl
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Rape). 48-year-old resident of the city. Severodonetsk, previously convicted of property crimes, was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. After notifying the detainee of suspicion of committing a crime, investigators with the support of the prosecutor's office will apply to the court with a request to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
Yesterday, April 27, at 20.00, a local resident contacted the police with a report that her 6-year-old daughter had been raped by an unknown man.
The officers of the investigative and operational team and the operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department, who went to the scene, during the investigative and operational actions established the identity of the attacker, his location and detained him. During the urgent investigative actions, the circumstances of the crime were established, physical evidence was seized at the place of residence of the detainee.
The girl is currently hospitalized in the hospital.
Within the framework of open criminal proceedings under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, investigative actions continue. The detainee faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 15 years.
