In Luhansk region, police establish the causes of a massive sea of fish in the pond of the village of Rogove
Yesterday, July 23, the Novopskov police received information from the head of the Novopskov settlement council that a large number of dead fish were found on the pond of the village of Rogove.
Arriving at the scene, the police, together with the fish protection patrol and the State Emergency Service officers, conducted a survey of the shore of the reservoir and found dead fish (pike, perch, roach, carp) in some areas of the water body.
In order to determine the total number and causes of fish death, the specialists of the State Service of Food and Consumer Protection and the State Environmental Inspectorate took samples of water and fish from the reservoir for chemical and bacteriological research.
Until all the causes and circumstances of the extraordinary event are established, the police are urged to refrain from catching fish and swimming in the pond.
Information about the incident was entered into the EHRD on the basis of Part 1 of Article 242 (Violation of water protection rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
