In Luhansk region, police officers have exposed a militant of the NZF “LNR”

During the operational-search measures, the police exposed a 24-year-old resident of the city. Severodonetsk, which participated in the illegal armed formation “Zaria” of the so-called “LPR”.

The man told the police that in 2015 he joined the ranks of the NZF of the so-called “LPR”, where he held the position of deputy commander of the battalion “Zarya”, which was stationed on the territory of the regional military registration commission in the city. Luhansk. According to the man, six months later, due to a conflict with the commander and poor conditions of service, he left the ranks of the battalion and joined another battalion of militants - “Bryanka USSR”. For his “service” the man received a salary of 15,000 Russian rubles, but later he was also disappointed in the ideas of the militants, left their ranks and went to work in the Russian Federation.

Subsequently, he returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine to his hometown of Severodonetsk.

In the framework of the criminal proceedings opened on this fact under Part 2 of Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law” the man was informed of suspicion. Investigators are completing the pre-trial investigation and in the near future will send an indictment with the materials of criminal proceedings to the court.
