A Turkish citizen who may be involved in a fatal accident was detained at the border
The attacker, who committed an accident and tried to leave the country, was detained by border guards together with police officers in Chernihiv region.
The car “FORD” with a trailer of Moldovan registration was discovered tonight by the border guards of the Chernihiv detachment at the checkpoint “Senkivka”. At the wheel of the car, a citizen of Turkey drove to leave Ukraine.
At the entrance to the checkpoint, the border guards immediately noticed damage to the front of the car, which could indicate that this car may have committed an accident. Therefore, the border guards immediately informed the police officers about it and detained the driver before their arrival.
It has been previously established that the driver, a citizen of Turkey, may be involved in the shooting down of two women on bicycles in Chernihiv region, one of whom died as a result of the collision.
It was also preliminarily established that the foreigner was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
Urgent investigative actions are ongoing.
