At the border with the Russian Federation, border guards found smuggled equipment with attributes of Russian security forces
In Kharkiv region, employees of the State Border Guard Service stopped smuggling.
Recently, during the implementation of advance information on the possible illegal movement of goods across the border, the operatives of the Kharkiv Border Guard, together with the Criminal Investigation Department of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region and the USBU in the Kharkiv region, stopped the attempt of illegal movement from Ukraine to the Russian Federation of a batch of auto parts, tobacco products and other stuff.
Three Ukrainian citizens, residents of the city of Volchansk, tried to turn the smuggling ring using two UAZ cars, which border guards stopped near the border.
During the inspection of the cars, law enforcement officers found boxes with almost 4.5 thousand packs of cigarettes, auto and motorcycle parts, as well as paraphernalia of Russian law enforcement officers — cocards, stars on shoulder straps, tricolor, etc. The Ukrainians tried to illegally move these goods to the Russian Federation.
Discovered goods and vehicles were handed over to customs officers.
At the moment, the circumstances for making a legal decision are being clarified.
