Yesterday, a citizen of Ukraine arrived at the checkpoint “Novi Yarylovychi” to leave Ukraine on a Volvo truck of Ukrainian registration.
Border guards of the operational-search unit had information that the 63-year-old driver could covertly transport goods to Belarus. In addition, his truck has already fallen into the field of view of law enforcement officers, because the border guards discovered an empty cache even at the previous border crossings.
Therefore, according to the results of a thorough inspection of the design features of the truck, the joint border and customs inspection team in the equipped bunker under the bottom of the trailer found a wide range of spare parts for metal and wood processing machines in the amount of almost 1700 units.
Customs officers seized the discovered items and drew up a protocol on violation of customs rules.
