This was announced by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhenii Yenin in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs monitors the situation on the borders of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia with Belarus, which is dynamically complicated and shows signs of further escalation. At the same time, there is an increase in the flow of migrants to the border regions of Ukraine.

“Neighboring states are resorting to hybrid technologies of “increasing refugee flows” primarily in the border regions of Ukraine in order to destabilize the socio-political situation. This is a shameful attempt to arrange a migration crisis in Ukraine,” the First Deputy Minister said.

He added that the situation at the border is fully under control.

“Neighbors should be aware that Ukraine's borders are prepared for such provocations. The probable destinations by which migrants can reach Ukraine have already been calculated. Measures are being taken on the engineering arrangement of the section of the state border of Ukraine with the Republic of Belarus. The state border guards of Ukraine will be reinforced with personnel, equipment and special means, including drones, and service dogs,” the First Deputy Minister said.

Yevgeny Yenin noted that over the past week, two Cuban citizens were detained at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. They illegally entered Ukraine from the territory of Belarus and planned to go to Poland in the future.

“Operational units are constantly monitoring the situation around this issue, including among persons who can contribute to the organization of such migration channels,” the First Deputy Minister noted.

The Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine did not receive requests from the authorities of the Republic of Poland for assistance in attracting personnel of the department.
