Collective training of National Guard sappers continues in Kyiv region
The course of collective training of specialists in engineering military-accounting specialties continues in the International Center for the Training of Units of NGU. It is attended by sappers from the military units of the Western ATO National Guard of Ukraine. The course is conducted by the Training Center for the Training of Units.
The classes also use engineering equipment and special equipment.
As part of the detachments, the guards master the installation of engineering barriers and minefields, the masking of the fortification equipment of the platoon stronghold and the arrangement of crossings through various obstacles. Classes are held both during the day and at night.
“Every engineering professional should feel that he is responsible not only for his life, but also for the lives of his fellow human beings. This is one of the factors of conducting collective training. The sapper makes mistakes only once, it is necessary to eliminate risks as much as possible and carry out engineering support of the tasks assigned to the unit,” said Major Igor Barnyak, head of the collective training course during the class. This time the participants of the course were involved as a subordinate engineering unit at the company tactical training.
The course of collective training of the operational purpose company is well suited for practicing the installation and overcoming of engineering barriers, mining and demining routes. In this way, two different courses were combined to get as close as possible to the combat conditions.
After passing each stage of training, the guard sappers take tests, and at the end of the course, tactical and special training of the consolidated unit will take place. In addition, during the training, servicemen have the opportunity to exchange experience gained during their participation in the Joint Forces.
