In Kyiv region, police detained men for robbery attack on family
On November 16, at 4.30 in the morning, men in balaclavas penetrated a private house in Kryukivshchyna. The villains demanded from the hostess and her daughter to give value and savings.
Subsequently, the owner of the house woke up, who was not confused and fired several shots from a registered traumatic weapon in the direction of the intruders, wounding one of the attackers in the leg.
The villains ran out of the house and disappeared in an unknown direction, seizing jewelry. The investigative and operational team of the Buchansky District Police Department and dog trainers arrived at the scene.
Police immediately launched measures to search for the intruders. The junior dog inspector of the canine center Mykola Vdovenko, together with his four-legged partner Next, found one of the attackers who was injured in less than an hour. He turned out to be a 37-year-old native of Turkey.
On the same day, a second robber, a native of Kazakhstan, was detained at the rented apartment. Both defendants were detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Art. 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years with confiscation of property.
Currently, law enforcement officers are looking for a third defendant and checking his involvement in the commission of similar crimes in the region.
