An official of the Irpin City Council will appear before the court in Kyiv region for receiving a bribe
One of the heads of the department of urban planning and architecture of the Irpin City Council of Kyiv region demanded and received UAH 28 thousand of illegal benefits for issuing permits for the right to place outdoor advertising in the city.
In February 2021, the investigators of the Corruption Crimes Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office and under the prompt support of the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine during the receipt of improper benefits detained one of the heads of the Irpin City Planning and Architecture Department City Council of Kyiv region.
Law enforcers established that the defendant promised to the representative of the commercial firm to prepare and issue permits for the right to place outdoor advertising media in the city of Irpin for 28 thousand hryvnias.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings, which was carried out under Part 3 of Art. 368 (Acceptance of a proposal, promise or receipt by an illegal official, combined with enforcement) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, completed. The indictment is sent to court.
The defendant faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
