In Kyiv region, a Kiev citizen will appear before the court for setting fire to a journalist's car in Brovary
Investigators following the procedural guidance of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office of the Kyiv Region sent to the court an indictment in criminal proceedings about a group of persons committing intentional destruction of someone else's property by arson and influencing a journalist in order to prevent him from performing his professional duties. At the moment, materials relating to other persons involved in the commission of the crime have been allocated to a separate proceeding.
We remind you that on the night of August 17, 2020 in the city of Brovary, intruders threw an object on the front of the KIA car, from which the vehicle caught fire and completely burned. Of the people, fortunately, no one was hurt.
The offender is accused of committing crimes provided for in Part 2 of Article 194 (Intentional Destruction or Damage to Property), Part 3 of Art. 171 (Obstruction of legitimate professional activity of journalists), part 2 of Art. 28 (Committing a crime by a group of persons, a group of persons by prior conspiracy, organized group or criminal organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is complete. The future fate of the husband will be decided by the court.
