Voluntary fire brigade started working in Ivano-Frankivsk region
The other day in Ivano-Frankivsk region, in the village of Lana, Dubovetskaya TG, a unit of the voluntary fire brigade was inaugurated. From now on, six volunteers, who in August 2021 at the invitation of the Voluntary Fire Department of Kadlub Turawski, Republic of Poland, gained experience from Polish colleagues, will ensure the peace and safety of the residents of the community (namely 15 settlements\ more than 7 thousand 600 inhabitants).
Interestingly, during the opening of the unit, the head of the house of culture of the village Lana expressed a desire to become a volunteer of the fire team and took a solemn oath. As part of the event, the leadership and honored guests inspected the premises in which it is planned to create an educational interactive fire room for children. Also signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine
in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, the Department of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration and the Dubivtsi Village Council.
In addition, the mobile application “Rescue in the Mountains” was presented, designed to transmit “SOS” signals with geographical coordinates in the event of extraordinary events in the mountainous area. The functionality of the application allows verified users when they get into difficult situations in mountainous terrain with one click to send emergency messages to the mountain search and rescue service with the exact coordinates of the scene. Note that the functioning of the volunteer fire team is a step towards safety in the community.
