In Donetsk region, five criminal authorities will stand trial for organizing a criminal plot
Investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in Donetsk region sent to the court an indictment against the former and new “spies” of one of the correctional colonies of Donetsk region and three other members of the criminal community. The maximum penalty that threatens men is up to 12 years in prison.
The criminal event and all its participants were documented by the officers of the investigative department of the Donetsk region police together with the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.
It was established that in February 2021 a criminal arrest took place in a correctional institution in Donetsk region. Five authorities took part in the criminal gathering, four of whom are serving sentences in the colony, another is a “spy” of one of the cities of the region.
The former “spy” of the colony took part in the shooting - a 36-year-old authority figure, repeatedly convicted of causing grievous bodily harm, robbery, disorganization of the work of penal institutions and other crimes. He resigned his powers and nominated his successor for approval.
Currently, the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings of Part 1 of Art. 255-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (organization, assistance in conducting or participating in a criminal assembly (shooting)) is completed.
Suspects face from 7 to 12 years in prison.
