In Donetsk region, additional police uniforms will be patrolled by resort areas
As early as tomorrow, May 28, in the resort areas near Mariupol, Slavyansk and Elyman, additional police uniforms will be provided on the water and on land. In order to provide high-quality assistance and prevent negative consequences, preventive police officers underwent special training. The main goal is to save people's lives.
Seminar-training on the provision of pre-medical care in case of emergency situations for police officers of the tourist police and employees of the “Rescue emergency and diving service” of the city. Mariupol was held on May 26 at a rescue station with the assistance of the Mariupol city organization of the Society of the Red Christ of Ukraine. International partners of the Donetsk police, representatives of the EU Advisory Mission, were present as independent experts and observers.
“We paid special attention to organizing the work of police officers in extreme conditions, when saving lives and health of people is the main task. During such situations, it is necessary to react immediately and act professionally,” Mykola Kashchuk, deputy head of the GUNP in Donetsk region, addressed law enforcement officers.
During the exercises, the police improved the algorithm of actions in crisis situations that can occur in the coastal zone and in the water. In conditions close to real, law enforcement officers worked out four unpredictable situations.
A man in the water. A man in a state of intoxication jumped from a breakwater and got a leg fracture, he cannot get out of the water on his own. Police pulled the victim ashore and provided first aid using tires and bandages. During the rehearsal of the event, various injuries were simulated — fracture of the arm and spine, fainting state, cardiac arrest.
Responding anywhere. Two fishermen on a boat in the open sea sound an alarm: one man has fallen into the water, the other is hypothermia. The outfit of the water police on the boat is put forward for search activities. When determining the location of the fishermen, the police removed the victim from the water and resuscitated him — cardiopulmonary resuscitation and artificial respiration were performed. The boat with the other injured was transported by the RAAS. On land, law enforcement officers with fishermen waited conditionally on foot and medics.
Heavy bleeding. A holidaymaker injured his leg in the water. The police stopped the bleeding and applied a special bandage.
Knife wound. On the beach lies a man in blood. He received a wound from an opponent during a fight. The foot patrol passed information on the fact of the crime and brought the man out of consciousness. The police worked out the provision of first aid for cardiac arrest.
At the end of the practical training, Mykola Kashchuk concluded that the police officers who will be involved in the tourist police are ready to intervene in the protection of law and order.
Special additional patrols will go out tomorrow to patrol the resort areas of the region.
