In Dnipropetrovsk region, police opened criminal proceedings on appropriation of 8 million hryvnias of budget funds
An official of the Kamensk City Council and an employee of a private enterprise are involved in the appropriation of budget funds, who, during the repair work in the city square, entered false information into the acts of the works performed.
The criminal activity of theft of budget funds was exposed by the police departments for the protection of public and state interests and the investigative department of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region together with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office. During the investigation, the police found that an official of the Kamensk City Council and an employee of a private enterprise were involved in the criminal scheme. Other persons involved in the crime will be identified during the investigation.
According to this fact, the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position). On May 6, sanctioned searches took place in the official office of the official and at the place of registration of one of the defendants. The investigation is ongoing.
