In Dnipropetrovsk region, during a special operation, police detained a criminal group that searched citizens for more than a million hryvnias
On the Internet, those involved posted ads for the sale of firewood for the heating season, and after receiving the money, they disappeared. Fraudsters operated in almost the entire territory of the state.
On December 3, on the basis of evidence received by the investigation, law enforcement officers with the strong support of special officers of the KORD stopped the activities of the criminal group and exposed its participants. They were four citizens, among them a 35-year-old organizer who is currently serving a sentence in a correctional colony. The perpetrators of the crime are two women and a 32-year-old man.

A number of searches were carried out in Kryvyi Rih and the premises of the Sinelnikovsky district correctional colony, during which drugs, mobile phones, computer equipment, SIM cards, bank cards and a notebook with “rough” records confirming the group's criminal act were seized.
The removed physical evidence is sent to the examination.
As the police found out, fraudsters on the Internet created ads offering the sale of non-existent goods. After receiving the subscription, they disappeared.
The approximate amount of damage caused to citizens is more than one million hryvnias.
According to this fact, the investigator under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigative activities were carried out by the investigative department under the operational support of the Criminal Investigation Department of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region, under the procedural direction of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, all persons are checked for involvement in the commission of other similar crimes on the territory of Ukraine.
