The Ministry of Internal Affairs launched two new digital services at once: the replacement of the driver's license and the registration of the place of residence in the application “Diya”
In the Unified State Services Portal “Diia”, the Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the function of replacing a driver's license, and also introduces in a test mode electronic change of residence registration in seven cities of Ukraine - Kiev, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Rivne, Mariupol and Kryvyi Rih. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sergey Goncharov during the “Diia Summit” within the framework of the All-Ukrainian Forum “Ukraine 30. Digitalization”.
“I am proud that it was from the services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that the content of the “Action” and familiarization of Ukrainians with modern digital documents began. And today we are introducing new — extremely important and convenient services for Action users, who will be able to feel even more comfortable using digital services. For motorists, we launch the replacement of a driver's license through the mobile application “Action”. Until now, such a service could be used through the Driver's Electronic Cabinet, and almost 40 thousand Ukrainians have already appreciated the convenience of such a service. And soon we will introduce the possibility of delivering driver's licenses directly to your home,” said Sergey Goncharov.
According to him, every third Ukrainian lives not at the place of registration, and about a million — do not have a registered place of residence at all.
“That is why the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Migration Service decided to radically change the approach to registration of residence. Already now we are introducing an electronic change of residence registration. From the beginning, this service will be possible for residents of the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Rivne, Mariupol and Kryvyi Rih. And by the end of the year — for the whole of Ukraine. To use this option, you only need a passport in the form of an ID card. It will be possible to register in your own housing without any additional approvals, and if you are not a homeowner — after receiving the electronic approval system of your registration from the homeowner,” the Deputy Minister said.
He added that all changes will be made automatically during the day, there is no need to go to unregister at the old address and visit military registration offices or other institutions.
Recall that the Verkhovna Rada equated e-passports in the application “Diya” with paper ones.
