The Ministry of Internal Affairs signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the National Children's Hospital “Okhmatdyt”
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.
The event was attended by Director of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anatoly Smyk, Head of the State Institution “Main Medical Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine” Vasily Korobka, General Director of the National Children's Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdyt” Volodymyr Zhovnir.
“The signing of the Memorandum will help us to establish cooperation between the health institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the children's hospital “Okhmatdyt” on the implementation of best practices and international standards of treatment. Including for the treatment of children of police officers, national guards, rescuers, and workers who were injured during the period of the ATO.
In case of emergency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide assistance in the organization of sanitary aviation.
Also, police officers, rescuers and national guards will voluntarily become blood donors for small patients,” Anton Gerashchenko said.
According to him, cooperation includes the exchange of information on methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, as well as joint consultations.
The memorandum takes effect from April 5, 2021 and is valid until December 31, 2025.
