The Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated the creation of a working group to deal with military-patriotic education
Today, January 11, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky, a working meeting took place, at which the heads and representatives of the executive authorities discussed the development of military-patriotic education of youth in Ukraine.
The discussion was attended by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet and First Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Porkhon.
The parties agreed to coordinate efforts and ensure cooperation between state authorities on military-patriotic education of youth.
“From the first of January, the Law of Ukraine “On the Basics of National Resistance” entered into force. It provides that appropriate courses should be created in educational institutions that will form basic military skills and much more. Therefore, we need to unite and coordinate efforts so that the mechanism of military-patriotic education really works,” said Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky.
In turn, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet noted that in educational institutions there are already a number of initiatives of military-patriotic education, which are implemented jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Veterans. However, they all need to be systematized.
The parties agreed on the creation of a working group that will be able to develop an integrated approach to military-patriotic education in the state.
Recall that in Ukraine from January 1, the provisions of the Law “On the Basics of National Resistance”, adopted last year, came into force. The law provides for the possibility of creating voluntary formations of territorial communities.
