The Maritime Guard conducted specialized raids to control the border regime

Within the framework of strengthening control over the regime in the territorial sea and inland waters, the ship and boat composition of the Maritime Guard conducted independent and joint raids with other law enforcement and control bodies. than 2,000 vessels and vessels, of which 110
were surveyed.

15 violators of border legislation were identified who went to sea or river outside established bases, without appropriate documents, neglecting rescue and communication facilities. For violation of the rules of the border regime, offenders are brought to administrative responsibility.

On the Danube, in the area of protected lands, during the implementation of operational information together with the staff of the Water Police, offenders fishermen who caught fish without permits, prohibited fishing tools were detained three times.

The offenders, as they saw the law enforcement officers — tried to hide the catch of red book fish, but 2 sturgeon managed to be pulled out of the caches and released into the natural environment. During the verification of compliance with the rules of fishing, 10 representatives of the Red Book were also released from the raised nets.

Fishing tools and fishing gear were seized from fishermen in the order of criminal proceedings under Art. 249 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In the Dzharylgach and Karkinytsia Bays of the Black Sea, maritime border guards during the patrol discovered and removed from the water 40 crab traps, which are prohibited fishing tools, and about 1,200 meters of nets, mostly flounder nets, which did not have proper sampling and were therefore used illegally.

From the poachers' nets, the border guards freed and returned 26 Kalkan flounders and more than 30 red book crabs to the natural environment.

The discovered fishing tools are accounted for as ownerless property and seized for further transfer to representatives of the State Tax Service and destruction in accordance with the established procedure. Measures are underway to identify persons involved in the organization and implementation of illegal industrial activities.

In Berdyansk district of the Sea of Azov, an interdepartmental group consisting of representatives of the Maritime Guard, Department of the CIS of the USB of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhya region, inspectors of the State Inspectorate and the State Fisheries Agency found and detained 3 fishermen who violated the established fishing procedure using prohibited tools and fishing equipment, captured 343 kalkan flounders.

Violators of the law are brought to administrative responsibility. The catch and float were seized by representatives of the State Fisheries Agency.

Experts estimate the total amount of damage to the state from all these manifestations of poaching activity at more than 620 thousand UAH.
