The past day at the border passed quietly
During the border control measures, border guards issued more than 42,5 thousand people in both directions and did not allow 40 foreigners into Ukraine, 23 of whom were potential illegal migrants. Another 14 citizens of Ukraine were not allowed out of Ukraine, as they did not have properly executed documents.
In addition, outside the checkpoints in Transcarpathia, border guards detained an Afghan who tried to illegally enter Romania. He was stopped yesterday by soldiers of the branch of the border service “Solotvino” of the Mukachevo detachment.
The border guards received information about the probable violation of the border in advance from the officers of the operational-search department of the detachment. The foreigner was stopped by the border guards on the outskirts of the settlement of Solotvino. The detainee said he was a citizen of Afghanistan, but he did not have documents with him.
In order to further clarify the circumstances of the offense and draw up administrative documents under Article 204-1 of the KUPAP, the foreigner was taken to the border unit. The further fate of the traveler and the assessment of his actions will be determined by the court.
