Arsen Avakov held a meeting with Citibank representatives in Ukraine
The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, in particular, the implementation of a large-scale project to modernize the hydro-meteorological system of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with the participation of an American company «BARON - Critical Weather Intelligence».
The bank's representative noted that Citibank, as the unified representative of the American banking sector in Ukraine, is very interested in establishing cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, especially considering that this project is aimed at renovating a socially important system.
Recall, on March 11, in the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine, the State EmergencyService of Ukraine and the BARON - Critical Weather Intelligence company (USA) signed a Protocol of intenton cooperation in the field of hydro-meteorological activities, which will completely reform the hydro-meteorological system of Ukraine, which has not been modernized since seventies of the last century.
About 13 large radars will appear in Ukraine, as well as several thousand special sensors that will allow the use of early, possible and quick forecasts of hazardous weather and natural phenomena to prevent and respond in advance to possible emergencies and disasters.
