Arsen Avakov held a meeting with representatives of Citibank in Ukraine
The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation, in particular the implementation of a large-scale project to modernize the hydrometeorological system of the SNSS with the participation of the American company “BARON - Critical Weather Intelligence”
The representative of the bank noted that Citibank, as the only representative of the American banking sector in Ukraine, is very interested in starting cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, especially since this project is aimed at the renovation of a socially important system.
Recall that on March 11, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine signed a protocol of intent between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the company BARON - Critical Weather Intelligence (USA) on cooperation in the field of hydrometeorological activities, which will make it possible to completely reform the hydrometeorological system of Ukraine, not updating since the 70s of the last century.
About 13 large radars will appear in Ukraine, as well as several thousand special sensors that will make it possible to use early, probable and faster forecasts of dangerous weather and natural phenomena to prevent and respond early to possible emergencies and disasters.
