Migration police from all over Ukraine carry out training in Transcarpathia
To combat illegal migration in the region, a special group of the best employees of the migration police has been created. All of them will serve in Transcarpathia until the end of October.
From the beginning of June and until October, employees of territorial units of the migration police jointly with the Department of Migration Police carry out a complex of operational and preventive measures in the Transcarpathian region to prevent and counteract the illegal movement of persons across the border of Ukraine.
During the training, employees of the migration police, together with the patrol police of the Transcarpathian region, serve at the checkpoint “Lower Gates”. In particular, they check vehicles, determine whether foreigners who have illegally arrived in Ukraine enter the territory of the region. On this road, cars go to controlled border areas, namely sections of the State Border of Ukraine with Romania, Hungary and the Slovak Republic.
In addition, law enforcement officers carry out systematic inspections of railway and bus stations in the Transcarpathian region. Law enforcement officers are aimed at finding foreigners who are in the territory of Ukraine in violation of migration legislation.
Additionally, inspections of educational institutions and dormitories where foreign students study and live are carried out.
Based on the results of the trial, a decision was made on the forced return of three foreigners who violated the rules of stay in the state.
In addition, police officers of the migration police department of the GUNP in the Transcarpathian region, assigned to the forces of the territorial units of the migration police together with representatives of the Testing Center at the Ministry of Health, discovered 25 fake passports of Ukrainian citizens and 18 citizens who used them during the KROK exam at Uzhgorod National University.
According to this fact, the investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Transcarpathian region started a pre-trial investigation, on the grounds of a criminal offense provided for in Part 3, Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation in the mentioned criminal proceedings continues.
In the course of the elaboration of the controlled border areas of the Transcarpathian region, a foreigner, a citizen of the Kingdom of Spain, who was illegally in the territory of Ukraine was also detected. The man was given a protocol on the commission of an administrative offense under Art. 203 KUPAP of Ukraine (violation by foreigners and stateless persons of the rules of stay in Ukraine and transit passage through the territory of Ukraine). A decision was made on his forced return to the country of origin with a ban on entering the territory of Ukraine for a period of three years.
