Migration police of Vinnytsia region detained a criminal authority who was under international investigation
Employees of the Department of Migration Police of the GUNP in Vinnytsia region detained a criminal who was on international wanted for committing particularly serious crimes. In the near future, it is planned to transfer it to the law enforcement agencies of the country initiating the search.
Operatives of the Migration Police Department established that a 34-year-old citizen of a neighboring state should be released in one of the penitentiary institutions of the region, which has a significant impact on the criminogenic situation in the region. He was serving 10 years in prison for causing grievous bodily harm, causing the death of the victim, and malicious disobedience to the requirements of the administration of the penal institution.
After an appropriate check, the police found out that this foreigner is wanted by Interpol for committing particularly serious crimes in his homeland - rape with the threat of murder and robbery, combined with violence and robbery.
On July 7, the migration police detained the mentioned dangerous criminal on the basis of a court decision made at the request of the prosecutor's office of the region.
According to the head of the Migration Police Department Kirill Dotsenko, the law enforcement agencies of the neighboring state have been looking for this criminal foreigner for more than ten years. The court subjected the detainee to extradition arrest. In the near future, it is planned to transfer it to the law enforcement agencies of the country initiating the search.
