Mary Akopian held a meeting with the delegation of the Iraqi Ministry of Internal Affairs
Today, October 12, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Mary Akopyan held a meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, headed by the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Abdul Khaled Badri Lafta.
The parties discussed the possibility of interdepartmental cooperation on the training of personnel to ensure public safety and order, as well as special units.
The leadership of the National Police of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine familiarized the Iraqi side with the structure and organizational and functional system of units.
Mary Akopyan noted that the Agreement between Ukraine and the Republic of Iraq on readmission of persons and the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Iraq on cooperation in the fight against crime are under development in the Iraqi side.
“The signing of agreements and the expansion of the regulatory framework between our countries will contribute to the intensification of bilateral Ukrainian-Iraqi cooperation,” said Mary Akopian.
