Frauds with state-owned lands - in Transcarpathia, a group of exhibitors of the regional administration of the State Committee of the State Committee will appear before the court
Among the accused are the former head of the department and his deputy, as well as the head of the department. As a result of their actions, the state suffered more than a million hryvnias of damage.
The illegal activities of the officials were exposed by the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Transcarpathian region of the National Police together with law enforcement colleagues.
According to the investigation, while holding their positions, the defendants illegally transferred from state to private ownership five land plots with a total area of 9.9 hectares on the territory of the Ruskopolsk village council. To do this, they entered inaccurate information into official documents regarding their cadastral numbers and boundaries, developed land management projects and technical documentation on the basis of new data, which were subsequently signed and approved. The actions of the officials caused the state losses in the amount of more than a million hryvnias.
Based on the evidence received, the former head of the district department of the State Committee of the State Committee of Ukraine and his deputy, as well as the head of the department, investigators of the regional police reported suspicions under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- abuse of power or official position committed by a criminal group (part 3 of Art.. 28, part 2 of Art. 364) - official forgery committed by a criminal group (part 3 of article 28, part 1 of art.
366).
Yesterday, May 25, with the approval of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office, the indictment against the group of officials was sent to court. The two defendants currently hold leadership positions in the village council and in the administration of the State Geocadastre.
