Large-scale searches of criminal representatives in Odessa — police find those involved in the spread of criminal influence in the region
Today, April 28, operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Odessa region and internal security, together with the investigators of the regional police department, the special unit KORD, conduct searches of the representatives of the region's criminality. They check the involvement of more than 10 Odessa residents in the establishment and spread of criminal influence.
According to preliminary information, some of them have significant connections with representatives of the criminal world, including “wills in the law”. In addition, these individuals may be involved in the organization and activities of groups that “specialized” in robberies and thefts and have already fallen into the field of view of law enforcement.
In order to obtain evidence of involvement of the defendants in illegal activities, law enforcement officers conducted sanctioned searches of their places of residence. Discovered and seized means for silencing mobile communication signals, a car, more than 400 thousand UAH of cash in various currencies, documents for different surnames, mobile phones, electronic media, as well as rough records containing evidence of criminal intentions of the defendants.
Investigative and operational activities are currently ongoing. After carrying out all the necessary procedural measures, the actions of each person will be provided with legal qualifications.
