Almost UAH 3.7 million of losses — Sumy region reported suspicion to the director of a state-owned enterprise
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Sumy Region of the National Police, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the official to official negligence.
Today, December 24, on the basis of the evidence received, the head of the state enterprise in the agricultural sector was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 (official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the police, during 2018-2019, the sale of legumes was carried out at prices much lower than the market. As a result of improper performance by the official of his official duties, losses in the amount of almost 3.7 million UAH were caused.
The sanction of the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of two to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with a fine of 250 to 750 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or without it.
Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings investigated by investigators of the regional police is carried out by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office.
