In Lviv region, police reported suspicion to the deputy mayor of Chervonograd
In addition to the official, his accomplice, a local businessman, was suspected.
Operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Lviv region of the National Police established: holding the position of head of a municipal institution, the official concluded supply contracts with the entrepreneur for educational institutions of one of the districts of the food products area. Without properly checking the information on price fluctuations in the market and contrary to the legislation in the field of public procurement, the official signed the relevant agreements and documents. As a result, the products were purchased at prices significantly higher than those that were firmly established by the main contract.
On the basis of the signed documents, almost 174 thousand hryvnias of excess funds were transferred to the supplier. As a result, the local budget suffered losses for this amount.
Based on the evidence received, investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in Lviv region informed the defendant, who currently holds the position of deputy chairman of the city of Chervonograd, about the suspicion. His actions are qualified under Part 1 of Art. 367 (official negligence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In addition, the entrepreneur was also suspected - under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 191 (appropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation in criminal proceedings is ongoing, the procedural management is carried out by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
